Chef Cynthia will provide a specially curated vacation for a group of food, wine and culture lovers.
This is your opportunity to experience life in North Central Spain
You’ll fly into Bilbão on Saturday 5/28, where you’ll be greeted by Chef Cynthia or a driver.
Bilbao is an amazing city, full of great food and Basque culture. It is also home to the Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Gehry. If you have a few days extra to explore and acclimate, Chef Cynthia suggests you arrive here early to discover this wonderful metropolis.
If you are flying into Madrid you’d take the train to Logrono.
Chef Cynthia or a car service will pick you up and bring you to the Haro home.
Our Vacation Home in Haro, La Rioja
We have the whole property including an outdoor pool, dining room, kitchen, playroom, laundry facilities. We will be within walking distance of numerous wineries and some specialty food purveyors.
Our days will be spent discovering the wines and foods of La Rioja, Spain’s most well-known wine region. Chef Cynthia will schedule tours and tastings at large traditional wine houses along with lesser known boutique wineries. Our winery tastings will include lunch or food whenever possible.
Chef selects local specialty food makers and has arranged tours of artisanal cheeses, olive oils and products. We’ll shop at farmers’ markets and local grocers to cook at the lodge. You can join Chef Cynthia in cooking if you’d like.
We’ll eat at restaurants. Chef Cynthia will make reservations at a Michelin starred restaurant, which will be self paid.
We’ll take time to absorb local museums to experience the history and culture of this region.
The trip will also include local guides; one tour we’ll take is the Food Lovers Tour of Vittoria/Gasteiz, the local center of Basque wines and foods.
There will be down time for you to relax and have a true vacation.
Costs per person double occupancy: $3400.00
Costs per person single occupancy: $3900.00
A 50% deposit is needed by no later than April 15 in order to reserve your room, with the remainder due on May 20, 2022
